Description

The messenger art print is reproduced from the original painting included in the exhibit the animals are innocent. This show opened in September 2019 at the Henry Sheldon Museum in Middlebury, Vermont running through January 2020. It was to travel on to other venues, however all is on hold until the pandemic ends. I created paintings and a series of hand built ceramic folk art boats filled with animals. My hope was to draw people in with this whimsical presentation, deepening to realize the wide impact our actions have on other living things through  poor environmental practices like our addiction to plastic and fossil fuels that contribute climate change.I created paintings and a series of folk art boats filled with animals. I have always felt the deer are gentle messengers. The original painting sold at the Henry Sheldon Museum.

The art print The Messenger is part of an exhibition to lament the effects of climate change.

This image along with others and the 10 ceramic folk art boats is included in a traveling exhibit or digital exhibit that may be requested by arts organizations and museums. This collection of my artwork examining the effects of climate change on animals and humans alike was created in conjunction with my book; Come Together . handbook to retool for the future, offering empowering action individuals can do to ignite a bottom up movement of change for the better.
